Superfoods 24/7 Cookbook

I can finally share some of my favorite photos of Superfoods 24/7! You may remember the first book that I did in this series by Jessica Nadel of Cupcakes and Kale, Greens 24/7. Jessica is great at creating healthy, inventive, plant-based recipes, and I love helping her vision come to life with food styling and photography. The photo direction for the book was to keep it simple and natural, with minimal distractions from the colorful dishes.

I’m hoping to get more updates going on here, as a lot has happened in the last few months!

(All photos are by me, and I have the permission to share them from Quarto Publishing)

Happy Herbivore: Holidays and Gatherings

Aside from Greens 24/7I also had the privilege of shooting quite a few pictures for Lindsay Nixon’s Happy Herbivore Holidays & Gatherings! This cookbook is filled with easy-to-make dishes for every holiday from Easter Brunch to Christmas Eve Dinner, and everything in between. Plus, all of the recipes are plant-based/vegan!

Lindsay is always really great to work with, and with this project I got to dabble in styling larger group shots of food; which was pretty intimidating at first, then got easier with more and more practice. I think that I would still like to experiment more with those types of shots, I just need a bigger shooting area!

So, check out some of my favorite recipes and photos from Happy Herbivore Holidays & Gatherings and take a look at the other cookbook that I’ve done for her, Happy Herbivore Light & Lean!

Greens 24/7 Cookbook

I’m so excited to be sharing this post with you today! Sometimes, it’s really hard to keep pictures for cookbooks under wraps until they are published and in stores, and Greens 24/7: More Than 100 Quick, Easy, and Delicious Recipes for Eating Leafy Greens and Other Green Vegetables at Every Meal, Every Day was definitely one of those books. I was fortunate enough to take the photos of Jess’s, of Cupcakes and Kale, first cookbook mid-2014; and it was one of my favorite large projects to date.

Jess’s food is colorful, balanced, delicious and imaginative, so it made it really easy to love cooking/styling/shooting these dishes. Here are just a few of my favorite shots from the book, as I wouldn’t want to spoil it for you. 😉
